Observatorio de Big Bear Lake en invierno

Déjese cautivar por la fotografía de Bending Energy

We've all been there, hiking along a wooded trail, standing lakeside taking in the mountain beauty, or gazing into the valley from a spectacular vantage point. You take out your phone to capture the awe inspiring view and...

your photo does reality no justice.

But then!

You're scrolling Facebook or Instagram one evening and come across THAT scene, the one from the top of the mountain, from the lakeside, from the trail. And it looks amazing, just like you remember. But who managed to capture the true beauty?

Most likely, you've stumbled across a Bending Energy photo.

A photo of the Dam Keepers house secluded by the dense forest, the boulders providing a natural retaining wall.
A photo of the Big Bear Lake during the winter, the snow covered ground and observatory visible in the distance.
A photo of Big Bear's night sky taken during winter after a snowfall, the bright stars and a galaxy are visible.

Brady Enger - owner and operator of Bending Energy Photography - has that rare quality where you can feel a picture, the intention behind it, the patience it look to capture the scene just right. Enger manages to make the onlooker pause, appreciate the beauty of the image and - hopefully - be inspired to preserve it when they're out in the valley themselves, if not from a photography perspective then from a responsible visitor standpoint.

It takes a village to preserve the beauty of the world around us. We invite everyone to Pack It In, Pack It Out, stick to designated trails, and respect wildlife. As for Bending Energy, we'll let him preserve the beauty in photos.
