Voluntariado y participación

En Big Bear, nuestro mayor regalo es el entorno natural. Como lugareños y visitantes, compartimos la responsabilidad de cuidar de este bello entorno. Siempre hay una forma de dejar un impacto positivo en el medio ambiente, ya sea recogiendo basura, siguiendo los senderos señalizados, observando la fauna desde lejos o participando en actividades de voluntariado en el valle.

July Shoreline Clean-Up

Care For Big Bear is leading a shoreline clean-up Saturday, July 26 from 10 AM - 2 PM starting from the Carol Morrison Launch Ramp at 41911 N Shore Dr.

It is recommended that you wear boots and clothing you don't mind getting dirty. Gloves, trash bags, picker uppers, water and snacks, and hand sanitizer will be provided but you're welcome to bring your own.

Meet at the launch ramp.

While the objective is to clear litter from the landscape, it's also a day to enjoy being outdoors!

Join the Southern California Mountains Foundation while they do important work to maintain the Maple Hills Trail Complex. Trail work includes: dirt work, brush work, and litter control. Be sure to bring your friends and family along, the more the merrier!

Time:

  • 4 PM - 7 PM

Gloves, tools, snacks, and drinks will be provided. Be sure to wear long pants and closed toed shoes. Roughly 1 week before the event you will receive exact trail location information. With support from Care For Big Bear
